Within IPA CBC project “365” financed by EU, a speleological cadastre for 4 municiplaities in Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije region has been created, and yesterday a presentation of the work within this activity has been held. Mr. Zeljko Madgalj from Speleological club “Akovo” has presented electronic database of speleological objects, 330 of them, and specifically emphasized the most important among them, the deepest pit, caves with length of over 1000 meters. Some of them are important for their specific biodiversity, some of them represent archeological sites, but what is most important is the fact that by creating inventory of speleological object, preconditions are being created for their further protection and future tourism valorization.
Methodology of preparation of this cadastre is don according to the best practices in EU countries, and is already adopted as official methodology for creation of national cadastre by the Agency for Environment Protection of Montenegro, which is direct result of this project.
After the presentation, a video “Hidden World” has been projected for the audience, and afterwards a photo exhibition has been prepared, with photos collected through the research that was subject of this activity.
